The advantages of torrenting are the speed of downloading to your computer: many times faster than from file hosting services. And files are downloaded not from the site, but from the computers of other users. The more downloaders and sharers, the higher the download speed. But this rarely happens: there is no one downloading or distributing a file! In this case, you will not download anything.
Another advantage: on torrents you can find something that you cannot find on regular sites.
To download a torrent you need a special program - a torrent client. Downloading a movie is as easy as shelling pears: type the name of the movie into a search engine and add: download torrent. Follow the links to find a torrent tracker where you can download this movie. You can also go to a specific torrent tracker - for example. When the desired movie is found, you need to click on the “Download torrent file” button. (This is not a movie yet, but only a link to it, since there are no movies on the trackers - only links, and movies and other things are on the computers of ordinary users). After this, the torrent file ends up in the “Downloads” folder, as well as in the program, which launches itself, connects to the computers of users who download and distribute this movie from this torrent tracker, and begins downloading the movie to your computer, indicating what percentage loaded.
